Beer Cheese

  • Ingredients

    • ¼ cup butter
    • ¼ cup flour
    • ½ tsp onion powder
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • ⅔ cup beer
    • 1 tsp dijon mustard
    • 1 tsp worcestershire
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup shredded gruyere
  • Method

    • Combine butter, flour, onion powder and garlic powder over medium heat in a saucepan. Cook 1-2 minutes until lighly brown.
    • Add milk and beer, whisking until smooth.
    • Add dijon mustard and worcestershire
    • cook until it thickens
    • add cheese and whisk until fully combined
